Laziness according to the Bible

In Proverbs 26th chapter, verses 13 - 18, the Bible talks about a lazy person.

Living Translation Bible says " The lazy man won't go out for work. "There might be a lion outside! he says. He sticks to his bed like a door to its hinges. He is too tired even to lift his food from his dish to his mouth. Yet in his own opinion, he is smarter than seven wise men.

These verses depict the character of a lazy man. If a person is willing to work, he can find endless excuses to avoid it. Laziness is more dangerous than a prowling lion.
The less you do, the less you want to do, and the more useless you become.

The lazy man will find many excuses to avoid work. He will even go to the extreme of stating that a dangerous animal is on the prowl. He sticks to his bed like a door to its hinges, says the word of God.
A door will not go anywhere, but will keep turning on its hinges, in the same way, a lazy man will never accomplish anything, but will keep on moving in one place.
